# Submission intake rules

A submission is a set of documents plus the broker's covering note. Intake accepts it only when the rules below hold.

## Required pack

- The slip, or an explicit waiver recorded on the submission.
- Schedule information the binder expects for the class of business.
- A named broker contact.

## Gaps

Missing items stay visible. PorterIQ does not invent a document to close a gap. The underwriter sees the gap in [Context Workbench](/workbench/domain-rules/underwriting/).
